The staff of the Hawaiʻi State Law Library System will provide basic reference services, such as suggesting sources to use, explaining how to use legal research tools, helping to locate a statute or case when provided a specific citation, and suggesting other organizations or government agencies to contact for additional assistance. Patrons will only be directed to appropriate materials and resources and shown how to utilize such sources via an index or similar resource guide.
