Legally Speaking: The Reference Low-Down When You’re Not a Lawyer

On November 14, 2025 as part of the Hawai‘i Library Association’s 2025 Fall Conference, State Law Librarian Jenny Silbiger and Public Services Librarian Marlene Cuenco hosted a session titled Legally Speaking: The Reference Low-Down When You’re Not a Lawyer.

The session provided background information and a case study about laws, delved into the legal reference question interview, introduced legal information resources, and reviewed real-life legal questions received at public libraries.

The recording can be found on the HLA’s YouTube page here.
